Have you lived in Millfield? Do you live there now? Do you visit the multitude of independent shops on Lincoln Road?
The Millfield Link is a project inspired by the Link Road mural. It celebrates the history of Millfield over the 40 years since the mural was painted. Over the last year we’ve been chatting to residents, both past and present, and recording their experiences of living and working in the Millfield area over the past 40 years.
We have created this online community exhibition to showcase the stories of this unique part of the city. You can also find these on information panels around the Millfield area over the festival weekend on 7 and 8 August.
The stories we have collected will be added to the Peterborough Archive and also used to inspire an exhibition at Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery in November 2021.
You can tell us your stories too. Whether you have memories of moving to the area from another part of the world, spending time at your favourite shop on Lincoln Road, or taking part in the pub run from the Crown to town, we’d love for you to share your stories about life in Millfield!
