COVID-19 GUIDANCE:
Peterborough Presents is delighted to be going ahead with Millfield Festival on 7th and 8th August 2021.
Following consultation with the local community earlier this year we decided to host our festival activities at venues across Millfield, rather than encouraging one mass gathering at New England Rec (as in previous years). This allows people to gather in smaller numbers but more importantly explore all the amazing venues across Millfield.
We are aware that the government is due to lift all restrictions on social distancing etc, however in order to ensure the continued safety of the public and minimise the spread of Covid-19 we have put in place a number of procedures. These include:
· All events staff and those leading activities will be asked to carry out a lateral flow test the day before their event. Anyone testing positive will no longer take part in the festival.
· Hand sanitiser will be made available at every festival venue / activity for use by the public and the activity leads
· We will continue to encourage people to social distance at venues (indoors and outdoors)
· All equipment will be cleaned with anti-bacterial wipes between use
· Wherever possible activities will take place outdoors – for example, our Millfield Link exhibition is all located outdoors at venues across Milllfield
· We will set and monitor a safe maximum capacity for both indoor and outdoor venue including our walking tours
· Many activities will be drop-in but some (walking tours, dance workshops) will need to be pre-booked to ensure we stick to maximum capacities.
· Although not required, as a member of the public, volunteer or staff member, we would welcome you to wear your masks at events, especially where they are indoors.
· We encourage everyone to continue to social distance
Putting these procedures hopefully gives you confidence to attend and enjoy all the amazing activities available. It may mean slight changes or small delays in being able to access your chosen activity. We thank you for your patience in allowing us to put these procedures in place.
